Qin Nebgen Competes at AIA State Tennis Tournament

Qin Nebgen was nominated by her coach as the top and only female player for Cicero to compete for a draw for an AIA State Tennis singles berth.  When the coaches at the 2a level voted for the top 24 players, Qin was selected for State.  This was a huge honor for Qin and Cicero

Great performance by our team with a 4-2 win over Coronado HS. Coach said “I’m very proud of Qin Nebgen who keeps working hard, week after week during practices and matches”.  Well deserved wins for Lukas Whisler and Ian Stepanek. HS Tennis vs AZ College Prep

Cicero Coach Eusebio said the most impressive performance came from Ian Stepanek who played a marathon match. The match was decided by a 3rd set tiebreaker won by Ian 10-8. Ian showed great resilience and mental toughness by never letting the conditions and complexity of the match get the best of him.  Great Job Ian

HS Tennis Falls to SPA

The Cicero HS tennis team has been busy playing matches this week.  Last night they hosted Scottsdale Prep and fell 9-0.  While we had a few competitive matches, SPA was stronger with their serves and quicker to the net.  Keep up the fight Centurions, we are cheering for you in your match tomorrow vs Fountain

The Cicero Varsity Tennis team was excited to get back into competition after Spring break.  However, they played a more consistent and experienced team from Rancho Solano.
