The Cicero MS boys soccer team ended their season with a great match vs Odyssey Institute. It was a very disputed game with both teams playing very hard to get the win. The first half ended 2-2, with the two Centurion’s goals scored by Remi Adelman. In the second half, Odyssey was able to score their third goal and hold on to the win by dropping back and playing tight in defense for the rest of the game. The Centurions were relentless going forward, with Erik Molique, Joey Longo, Jack Schillinger, and Jesse Krinetz pushing from the back, and Dylan Krinetz, Grant Guldberg, Finn Comerford, Cruz Reichert, and Cade Hwang fighting for every ball in the midfield, creating several goal scoring opportunities. Their goal keeper was very busy at the end of the game, making several key saves and wasting time to slow down the Centurions. Cicero fought until the end, showing a great competitive spirit and great character against one of the best teams in the league. Landon Borchardt, had some great saves, and Josh Lott and Jon Gerges contributed to the team playing really hard every time then went in the game, against much bigger players. Cicero ended their season in a very good note, showing a lot of growth in a very short period of time and setting a new standard for the soccer program.
