The Cicero MS boys team defeated Arete Prep 6-2, giving the Centurions the third win of the season. Arete Prep scored the first goal in the first 5 minutes of the game but the Centurions quickly responded with three goals scored by Cade Hwang, Dylan Krinetz, and Remi Adelman. Arete Prep scored one more goal to end the first half 3-2. In the second half, Cicero picked up the intensity, with Remi staying very active on the left side and scoring two more goals to end the game with a hat trick. Finn Comerford had a great game offensively, creating a lot of scoring opportunities and capitalizing on one of those chances, scoring his first goal of the season to seal Cicero’s victory 6-2. Defenders, Eric Molique, Jack Schillinger, and Jessie Krinetz were tough in defense, and were able to shut down their fast forwards in the second half. Once again, Cruz Reichert was great on goal, and midfielders Joey Longo, Grant Guldberg, Blake Bolte, and Isaac Gerstel were very active on the field, making it difficult for Arete to control the game and giving Cicero the chance to create many scoring opportunities. Overall, the team played really well as a unit, with every player doing their part to contribute to the win. The Centurions hope to keep the momentum going when they face North Pointe Prep in their last game of the regular season next week.
