Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) and Anthem B where Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) prevailed 14-8.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) fired up the offense in the first inning, when Ben Truax singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) scored six runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) was led by Max Campanile, Dane Stevens, Connor Levine, and Dylan Aubrey, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Anthem B scored three runs in the fourth inning.  The big inning for Anthem B came thanks to singles by Corbin and Jack and an error on a ball put in play by Noah.

Truax got the start for Cicero Baseball Centurions (B). The fireballer went three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Matthew toed the rubber for Anthem B. The hurler surrendered three runs on two hits over one-third of an inning, striking out one.  Jack threw three and a third innings in relief.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) smacked one home run on the day. Campanile went deep in the second inning.

Levine, Bodi Gaskill, Truax, Campanile, Jackson Brush, and Aubrey each collected one hit to lead Cicero Baseball Centurions (B).  Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Levine led the way with four.

Anthem B tallied nine hits.  #14 and Casey all collected multiple hits for Anthem B.
