1/19 – A Team VS. Veritas Prep

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  got on the board in the first inning when Gage Lee singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Veritas Prep (A) knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when #24 drew a walk, scoring one run.

Veritas Prep (A) pulled away for good with one run in the second inning.

Veritas Prep (A) scored three runs in the third inning.  Veritas Prep (A) scored its runs on a single by #19.

#2 led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Veritas Prep (A). undefined surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one.

Alessandro De Los Santos was on the hill for Cicero Baseball Centurions (A) . The pitcher allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out six.  Santiago Villaviceno threw three innings in relief.

Avi Bejarano went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  in hits.

Veritas Prep (A) had five hits in the game.  #24 and #3 all collected multiple hits for Veritas Prep (A).

 

1/21 B Team vs. Anthem Prep

Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) Loses Lead Early in 5-3 Defeat

Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-3 loss to Anthem B on Thursday.  Anthem B scored on a single by Jack and a passed ball during Noah’s at bat in the first inning.

Anthem B got on the board in the first inning when Jack singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Matthew led things off on the mound for Anthem B. The bulldog surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Brayden Lee was on the mound for Cicero Baseball Centurions (B). The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out nine.  Kingston Sinner threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Cooper Tolerico went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Cicero Baseball Centurions (B) in hits.

Anthem B racked up seven hits.  Matthew, Noah, and Jack each managed multiple hits for Anthem B.  Anthem B didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jack had the most chances in the field with four.

 

1/22 A Team vs. Chandler Prep

Tight Contest Between Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  and Chandler Prep  Titans Ends in a 6-6 Tie

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  tied the game on a in the sixth inning as Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  tied Chandler Prep  Titans 6-6 on Friday.

Chandler Prep  Titans got on the board in the first inning when Zane doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  tied things up at six.

Kingston Sinner, Santiago Villaviceno, Stratton Knee, Gage Lee, Alessandro De Los Santos, Ryan Tomey, and Brayden Lee each collected one hit to lead Cicero Baseball Centurions (A) .  Villaviceno led Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

Chandler Prep  Titans racked up seven hits on the day.  Emet and Zane each racked up multiple hits for Chandler Prep  Titans.

 

1/27 A Team vs. Lincoln Prep

Four RBI Day for Ryan Tomey Brings in 15-1 Win For Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  Over Lincoln Prep A

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  defeated Lincoln Prep A 15-1 on Wednesday thanks in part to Ryan Tomey, who drove in four runners.  Tomey drove in runs on a double in the second and a triple in the third.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  fired up the offense in the first inning.  Gage Lee singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  tallied six runs in the third inning.  The offensive firepower by Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  was led by Brayden Lee, Tomey, Avi Bejarano, and Alessandro De Los Santos, all knocking in runs in the inning.

De Los Santos was credited with the victory for Cicero Baseball Centurions (A) . The hurler surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out nine and walking one.  Lee threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Jonah led things off on the hill for Lincoln Prep A. The pitcher surrendered 12 runs on 13 hits over two and a third innings, striking out three.  Cash threw two innings in relief.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  smacked one home run on the day. Bejarano had a homer in the fifth inning.

Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  racked up 18 hits on the day.  Lee, Stratton Knee, Bejarano, Lee, Tomey, De Los Santos, and Santiago Villaviceno all managed multiple hits for Cicero Baseball Centurions (A) .  Bejarano, Knee, and Lee all had three hits to lead Cicero Baseball Centurions (A) .  Ryan Carlson led Cicero Baseball Centurions (A)  with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.

Jonah went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Lincoln Prep A in hits.
