Coed Varsity Swimming · Varsity Swim Sets School Records in Yuma

The Cicero Varsity swim team hit the road to Yuma for a State Qualifying meet and left with a few more school records. Inspired by the leadership of Senior Captain Emma Erickson who competed in the 50 free and the 100 free and the speed of Sophomore Zoe Walsh who broke two more school records in the 50 Free and the 100 Fly, the Cicero ladies swim team was competing for a 6th place finish with only two swimmers.  What an amazing accomplishment for these two ladies.

On the boys side, Junior Landon Moomey and Sophomore Ian Ketter competed in the same heat battling for the school record in the backstroke. While both boys broke the record, Ian walked away with the official record by beating Landon to the wall.  What an awesome race to watch when teammates push each other to be the best they can be.

Great Job Cicero!
