Centurions News · New Head Coach for MS Swim Team

Born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, Raphael (pronounced Ra-fell) Temple’s swimming career began when she was 8 years old, swimming for the Prescott Swim Team. She fell in love with the sport and continued to swim until she was 17 years old. Throughout her swimming career, Coach Temple won multiple USA Swimming Age-Group State Championships. When she was 12, she broke the Arizona State record for the 50 meter Backstroke. Her senior year, swimming for Prescott High School, she broke the school record for the 50 Freestyle and placed top 10 in her 2 events at the High School State Championships. Her older brother was a collegiate swimmer at the US Air Force Academy and her younger brother just won his first High School State Championship as a sophomore in 2017.

Coach Temple is excited to bring enthusiasm along with her knowledge of the sport to the Cicero Prep Swim Team. She is motivated to help these student-athletes grow in the classroom and in the pool.
